Over the weekend low temperatures in Boone reached a milestone that had not occurred in 10 years.
As lows reached 45.1 degrees on Saturday morning and 43.2 degrees on Sunday morning, that marked the first time since June 2012 of back-to-back days of 45 degrees or colder in June. June 2012 recorded 44 degrees on June 2 and 41 degrees on June 3.
Temperatures in the 40s in June are not as uncommon as you might think, as it's happen 26 times since 2012. Below is breakdown by year over the last 10 years:
