WHAT…Visibility less than one mile in dense fog.
WHERE…Portions of north central and northwest NorthCarolina, south central and southwest Virginia and southeastWest Virginia.
WHEN…Until 10 AM EDT this morning.
IMPACTS…Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Dense fog was widespread throughout much ofsouthwest Virginia and northwest North Carolina early thismorning as well as parts of southeast West Virginia. The fog ismost problematic in the valleys and river valleys including theNew River Valley, Greenbrier River Valley, and the Clinch andHolston River Valleys and the Watauga River Valley in northwestNorth Carolina. Widespread visibility of less than 1 mile allthe way down to 0 miles is widespread through these areascreating hazardous driving conditions.
Conditions are expected to improve after 10 AM EDT thismorning.
