  • Flash Flood Warning for…Avery County in western North Carolina…Northwestern Burke County in western North Carolina…Northwestern Caldwell County in western North Carolina…

  • Until 1000 PM EDT.

  • At 600 PM EDT, As heavy tropical-like thunderstorms continue todevelop across the warned area this evening, rainfall totals nearfavored elevated locales may top out at 5 or 6 inches. Developingflooding of streams and eventually larger rivers in the area islikely as the evening wears on.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
