Flash Flood Warning for…Avery County in western North Carolina…Northwestern Burke County in western North Carolina…Northwestern Caldwell County in western North Carolina…
Until 1000 PM EDT.
At 600 PM EDT, As heavy tropical-like thunderstorms continue todevelop across the warned area this evening, rainfall totals nearfavored elevated locales may top out at 5 or 6 inches. Developingflooding of streams and eventually larger rivers in the area islikely as the evening wears on.
HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urbanareas, highways, streets and underpasses as well asother poor drainage and low-lying areas.
