…FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON…
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including thefollowing county, Ashe.
* WHEN…Until 330 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…– At 1229 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches ofrain have fallen.– This includes the following streams and drainages…Peak Creek, West Fork Pine Swamp Creek, Beaver Creek, ObidsCreek, Naked Creek, Roten Creek, South Fork New River and DogCreek.Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expectedover the area.
