WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including thefollowing county, Ashe.
WHEN…Until 130 PM EST.
IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
At 1023 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minorflooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in theadvisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
This includes the following streams and drainages…Beaver Creek, Cut Laurel Creek, Grassy Creek, Darnell Creek,Call Creek, Helton Creek, Dog Creek, Big Horse Creek, BigLaurel Creek and Hoskin Fork.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which arepotentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross floodedroads. Find an alternate route.
