…FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM EDT THIS EVENING…
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including thefollowing counties, Ashe and Watauga.
* WHEN…Until 845 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…– At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches ofrain have fallen.– This includes the following streams and drainages…Helton Creek, Middle Fork Horse Creek, Jerd Branch, HoskinFork, Big Laurel Creek, Kirby Branch, Mill Creek, Dog Creek,Little Phoenix Creek, Call Creek, Cove Creek, Beaver Creek,Meat Camp Creek, Big Horse Creek, Little Horse Creek andGrassy Creek.Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expectedover the area.
