…FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON…
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including thefollowing county, Watauga.
* WHEN…Until 430 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or isimminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…– At 119 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches ofrain have fallen.– This includes the following streams and drainages…Watauga River.Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expectedover the area.
