…FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON…
WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including thefollowing counties, Watauga and Wilkes.
WHEN…Until 345 PM EDT.
IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Overflowing poor drainage areas.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
At 1241 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain havefallen.
This includes the following streams and drainages…Elk Creek, Beaver Creek, Dugger Creek, Fall Creek, Fish DamCreek, Cub Creek, Big Warrior Creek and Bussels Creek.
