Much of Alleghany County NChas seen rainfall of 2-4 inches in the past couple of days. Theground is saturated and additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches willquickly result in excessive runoff and cause minor flooding.…FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON…* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE…In northwest North Carolina, Alleghany NC.* WHEN…Until 300 PM EDT.* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…– At 1201 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain.
