WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE…Southwestern Watauga County in northwestern NorthCarolina…
WHEN…Until 700 PM EDT.
IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
At 454 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain havefallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include…Beech Mountain, Sugar Grove, Foscoe, Valle Crucis, Rominger,Lovill and Peoria.
