WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including thefollowing county, Watauga.
WHEN…Until 530 PM EDT.
IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
At 326 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gaugesindicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding isongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Upto 2 inches of rain have fallen.
This includes the following streams and drainages…Grassy Creek, Stony Fork, Flat Branch, South Fork LaurelCreek, Elk Creek, Norris Fork, Dugger Creek, South Fork NewRiver and Meat Camp Creek.
