  • WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.

  • WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including thefollowing counties, Alleghany NC, Ashe and Watauga.

  • WHEN…Through Wednesday morning.

  • IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…

  • Periods of moderate to occasionally heavy rain will fall thisevening through Wednesday morning. Additional rainfall totalsare expected to range from 2 to locally 4 inches. Thegreatest potential for any flooding will be near the crest ofthe Blue Ridge.
