WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.
WHERE…Portions of North Carolina, including the following areas,Alleghany NC, Ashe, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin andVirginia, including the following areas, Amherst, Appomattox,Bedford, Botetourt, Buckingham, Campbell, Carroll, Charlotte,Floyd, Franklin, Grayson, Halifax, Henry, Patrick, Pittsylvania,Roanoke and Rockbridge.
WHEN…Through late tonight.
IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeksand streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

Up to 2 inches of rain and a period with intense rainfallrates may result in flooding of streams and creeks.Tributaries of main stem rivers may also rise out of theirbanks.
