* WHAT…Significant icing. Additional snow accumulations of up toone inch and ice accumulations of around three tenths of aninch.

* WHERE…Avery County.

* WHEN…Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions.

An Ice Storm Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditionsare expected or occurring. Significant amounts of iceaccumulations will make travel dangerous or impossible. Travel isstrongly discouraged. Commerce will likely be severely impacted.If you must travel, keep a flashlight, food, and water in yourvehicle in case of an emergency. Ice accumulations and winds willlikely lead to snapped power lines and falling tree branches thatadd to the danger. Prepare for possible power outages.
