Lansing, NC – Sheriff B. Phil Howell announces the arrestof 37-year-old Alex Howard Marshall of Lansing, NC, forseveral drug charges, including Trafficking inMethamphetamine and Fentanyl.
On April 5th, 2025, Sgt. Chris Greene was patrolling theLansing area when he noticed a vehicle in violation of thelaw. Sgt. Greene initiated a traffic stop on the vehiclebelonging to Alex Marshall. Sheriff K9 Condor performedan open-air sniff with a positive alert inside the vehicle.Deputies began searching the vehicle and recovered 31.6grams of Methamphetamine, 5 grams of Fentanyl, severalitems of drug paraphernalia, and a handgun. Marshallwas arrested and transported without further incident.
Alex Howard Marshall, 37, of Lansing, was arrested and placedunder a No-Bond and is currently held in the Ashe CountyDetention Center. His charges include :

2 Counts Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
