This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,central Virginia, south central Virginia, southwest Virginia andwest central Virginia.

Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected today withisolated thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening.Excessive rainfall could lead to flooding, especially in low-lyingand normally flood prone areas. Small creeks and streams mayexperience significant rises in areas of heavy rainfall.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.
Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected each day through theperiod. Locally heavy rainfall will remain possible with thestronger storms.
