This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast WestVirginia.

.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.

Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop during theafternoon and evening. This activity will be slow moving and has thepotential of producing heavy downpours and localized flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Afternoon temperatures will become 8 to 12 degrees above normal fromFriday through Sunday, with highs reaching into the upper 80s to low90s. There is an increased the risk of heat-related illnesses forthose that are sensitive to heat, as well as those spending extendedperiods of time outdoors.
