This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,southwest Virginia and west central Virginia.

.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.

Widespread rainfall, some occasionally moderate to briefly heavy, isexpected today and tonight. Average rainfall amounts during thistime frame of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected near and east of theBlue Ridge during the weekend. There remains a Slight Risk ofExcessive Rainfall on Sunday in this area with a Marginal Risk ofExcessive Rainfall on Monday. Flooding of poor drainage and low-lyingareas will continue to be the main concern.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Widespread rainfall is expected to continue into Sunday with rainand a few thunderstorms still likely Sunday night and Monday until acold front moves through the area early Tuesday. Consequently, thereis a Slight Risk of Excessive Rainfall late Saturday through Sunday.Flooding of poor drainage and low-lying areas will continue to bethe main concern.
