This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,central Virginia, south central Virginia, southwest Virginia, westcentral Virginia and southeast West Virginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.
Although isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected today,widespread hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.
Monday…Widespread hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
Tuesday…Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected. There isa Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms and excessive rainfall.Damaging wind gusts impacting multiple areas, potentially largehail, and heavy rainfall leading to areas of flooding will bepossible Tuesday.
Wednesday through Saturday…Scattered to numerous thunderstormswill be possible each day, especially during the afternoon andevenings. Each day there is the possibility that a few of thesestorms could become strong to severe and produce very heavy rainfall.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…
Spotter activation is not anticipated today or Monday. Spotteractivation is likely Tuesday to provide reports on potentiallymore widespread severe thunderstorms and areas of flooding. Spotteractivation may also be possible other days during the Wednesdaythrough Saturday period.
