This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,northwest North Carolina, south central Virginia, southwestVirginia, west central Virginia and southeast West Virginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.
Periods of rain are expected again today and tonight with isolatedthunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening. Locally heavy rainremains possible. Thus, the area remains in a “Marginal Risk” forexcessive rainfall today and tonight. Localized flooding of poordrainage and low-lying normally flood prone areas will be the mainconcern.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.
Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to accompany a coldfront through the region Monday into Monday evening. Locally heavyrainfall will be possible. There is a continued “Marginal Risk” forexcessive rainfall Monday. Localized flooding of poor drainage andlow-lying normally flood prone areas will remain the main concernwith any areas of heavy rainfall.
