This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,northwest North Carolina, south central Virginia, southwestVirginia, west central Virginia and southeast West Virginia.

Isolated strong to severe storms are possible mainly this afternooninto evening. The main threats will be strong to damaging winds,isolated tornadoes, and heavy rainfall. Aside from any storms, southto west winds could gust as high as 40 mph into tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.
Strong gusty winds are expected across much of the mountains Fridayinto Saturday, which may warrant wind advisories in future forecastupdates.
