This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast WestVirginia.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.

An Arctic cold front will sweep through the region Friday night intoSaturday morning. Sharply colder temperatures, strong and gustywinds, and accumulating snowfall will all be possible with thisfrontal system.

Widespread rain in advance of this frontal system Friday night willchange to snow early Saturday with snow accumulations of 1 to 2inches possible, especially across the higher terrain. This strongfrontal system will also bring very strong and gusty northwest winds.In addition, very cold temperatures are expected Saturday intoSunday with morning lows Sunday of 10 to 15 degrees. The strong windscombined with these temperatures will result in bitterly cold windchills of 0 to -5 degrees.
