This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast WestVirginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected this afternoon andevening. Some of these thunderstorms could become strong to severe.The main hazards will be large hail and damaging wind gusts. The mostlikely time frame for severe thunderstorms looks to be in the 2 PMEDT to 10 PM EDT time frame. In addition, locally heavy rainfallcould lead to isolated incidents of flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday.
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible Friday intoSaturday and again by Tuesday. However, the probability forwidespread hazardous weather appears low at this time.
