…Elevated Fire Weather Conditions This Afternoon…
Very dry conditions are expected areawide this afternoon withhumidity minimums in the teens. Winds today will remain gustywith speeds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts of 30 mph. The combinationof the wind and really low humidity are concerns for enhancedfire risk, where conditions would support active spread ofwildfires.
Residents are urged to exercise caution handling any potentialignition source…including machinery… cigarettes…and matches.Be sure to properly discard all smoking materials. Any drygrasses and tree litter that ignite will have the potential tospread quickly.
