Abnormally dry conditions continue over portions of western NorthCarolina. The combination of low relative humidity dropping intothe 30 to 35 percent range with gusty west to southwest winds of20 to 30 mph, an Increased Fire Danger statement has been issuedfor the Central and Northern Mountains and the Piedmont. This isin effect for Wednesday from 11 am to 6 pm.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whetheryou can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires canquickly get out of hand under these conditions.
