Low relative humidity values will combine with wind gusts of 25to 40 mph and drying fuels to result in an increased danger offires burning out of control across the mountains of SouthwestVirginia and Northwest North Carolina.
People are urged to avoid outdoor burning today. If you mustburn, use extreme caution since fires can grow quickly and becomedangerous in these conditions. Ensure that fire suppressionequipment is readily available. Properly extinguish and dispose ofany smoking materials.
