Dry and windy conditions return to the area on Wednesday behind adeparting cold front today. Afternoon Relative Humidity values areexpected to drop into the 25-30 percent range across NC and the VAPiedmont, with occasional wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph. Thiscombined with dry antecedent conditions over the last month or sowill result in increased fire danger across North Carolina andportions of the Virginia Piedmont. This statement is in effectfrom Wednesday 11am through 7pm.
