Dry surface conditions and gusty southwest winds will create anincreased threat for fire danger conditions for northwest NorthCarolina through this evening.
Relative humidity values may drop to 25 percent or lower, andwind gusts between 15 and 30 mph are expected. Wind gusts will bestrongest at higher elevations.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whetheryou may burn outdoors today. If you do burn, use extreme cautionsince fires can increasingly escalate under these conditions.
