At 713 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm overPeoria, or near Beech Mountain, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow aroundunsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects ispossible.
Locations impacted include…Boone…Blowing Rock…Beech Mountain…Foscoe…Deep Gap…Sugar Grove…and Todd.
