At 543 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4miles north of Beech Mountain, or near Peoria, moving northeast at 30mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow aroundunsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects ispossible.
Locations impacted include…Banner Elk, Elk Park, Beech Mountain In Avery County, Sugar Mountain,Seven Devils and Minneapolis.
