2022-11-07T03:23:00-05:002022-11-07T09:00:00-05:00NWS Greenville-Spartanburg (Western North Carolina and Northwest South Carolina)Special Weather Statement issued November 07 at 3:52AM EST by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg…PATCHY DENSE FOG THIS MORNING…Light winds and clear skies late Sunday night allowed theformation of fog in some areas of the North Carolina mountains,northwestern Upstate South Carolina, and far northeast Georgia.Many locations in these areas have seen visibility drop below onemile. In mountain valleys and near rivers or other bodies ofwater, visibility may locally drop as low as a quarter mile.Driving may be difficult if not hazardous due to the fog thismorning. Use extra caution if traveling by car this morning. Slowdown, use low beam headlights, and prepare for rapid changes invisibility by leaving extra space between vehicles. The fog shouldlift by 9 AM.
