* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 mph withgusts up to 50 mph expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, verycold wind chills as low as 9 below expected.
* WHERE…In North Carolina, Alleghany NC, Ashe, and WataugaCounties. In Virginia, Carroll, Floyd, and Grayson Counties.
* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 4 AM ESTWednesday. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to10 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Treelimbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Thecold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result inhypothermia if precautions are not taken. Frostbite andhypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to thesetemperatures.
