WHAT…For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow. Snow accumulationsup to 4 inches with locally higher amounts above 3500 feet. Forthe Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Windchills as low as 15 below zero on Friday.
WHERE…Portions of southwest and west central Virginia andnorthwest North Carolina.
WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 AM EST Friday.For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 4 AM to 1 PM EST Friday.
IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardousconditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The coldwind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are nottaken.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Northwest winds will gust up to 40 mphalong the ridges Friday morning which will result in blowingsnow and reduced visibilities.
