WHAT…Snow. Total snow accumulations of up to 5 inches. Windsgusting as high as 50 mph.
WHERE…Portions of southwest and west central Virginia,northwest North Carolina and southeast West Virginia.
WHEN…Until 7 PM EST this evening.
IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Gusty winds couldbring down tree branches and weaker trees. The cold wind chillsas low as 5 below zero could result in hypothermia ifprecautions are not taken.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The wind and snow could lead to poweroutages, as well as reduced visibilities.
